Myrtus communis is one of the most common shrubs of the Mediterranean maquis, and is easily found in the wild in Sicily. An extract containing tannins and vitamin C is obtained from organically grown Black Myrtle leaves. Its composition makes it an active ingredient with a toning and antioxidant action for the skin.
